Prescriptions take two working days to be ready after you ask for them. We can’t take requests over the phone.

Ordering repeat medication

You can order your repeat medication by:

We’ll send your prescription to any pharmacy you choose. Our reception team can help you change your pharmacy, or you can do it through the NHS App.

Ordering acute medication

Some medicines are for one use and given by your doctor. These are acute prescriptions. You can’t order them like your usual medicine. Contact the surgery if you think you need more.

If you have a query about your medication

Pharmacists can answer your medication questions. You can also call us on 0151 630 0354 and we’ll arrange for you to talk to someone.

Finding your nearest pharmacy

Pharmacists can help with medicine use and small health issues. They can also give out prescriptions, provide emergency medicine, and give advice.

Medication reviews

People on regular medicine need medication reviews. Your repeat prescription slip will remind you when it’s time. Please ensure you have your check-up to avoid delays in getting more medicine.

Over-the-counter medications

Our doctors usually won’t give you medicine you can buy yourself. This is government policy. You can find a list of these medicines by clicking here.
